Was Winston Churchill a Christian?

I find a lot of fundamental Christians admiring Winston Churchill. I also admire Winston Churchill. God used him to save Britain during World War II. It is very clear that he was a man used by God in the history of the world, especially during the late 1930s and 1940s.

But was he a Christian? Did he believe in God? Did he believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?
